Approximately 60 million people live in rural areas across the United States, including millions of Medicare beneficiaries. Compared to their urban counterparts, rural Americans face significant health challenges and disparities, leading to a higher risk for poor health outcomes. Rural communities are in crisis, and big ideas are needed to change the trajectory of rural health.
